It's Been A While...

Gotta love when this thing called life gets in the way of things! I know that I've been absent so I apologize.

First things first: the temperature blanket has been frogged. Maybe with another year approaching, I'll become serious about it once more. It was doomed from the start: I wasn't aware of a project like that until a month after it should've started. Then, I'm always finding better patterns to work with: I'm very indecisive when it comes to basically everything in my life.

I still have a lot of unfinished projects but the main priority is to finish my grandmother's blanket before her birthday. Hopefully, I'll post pictures of the progress soon. The pattern is called Sophie's Universe and it's a CAL (or a Crochet Along). I'm assuming that it was meant to last for a year, if not at least half a year. But it only took me a week to reach part 3; if I keep at it, I will reach my goal in time. 

That's basically it. Not much has happened since February. We have my husband's nephew living with us and to say that I'm not liking it is being nice. My sis-in-law gave birth to another baby girl back in June and she's adorable. I finally started on book three of my fanfiction series. Yeah; ho-hum stuff...

I want to start updating this thing once a week. I've got to get all of my unfinished projects together, take pictures and get back to work on them. *sighs*

It's really nice being here. I feel like I'm in a movie! Earlier today, I watched the world from the 7th floor and it was everything I had imagined from a 90s movie based in the big city! There were people trying to hail cabs, one-way traffic, police cars and people break-dancing in the park! I wanted to tape them but it was too dark! Just now, I decided to look outside because I'm actually bored out of my mind frame, and saw a lesbian couple make out in the same park! It was really cute, actually! 1st Blog

So, this is my first blog on this website. I will admit that I got the idea from "Julie and Julia". Not that I'm going to go through a cookbook and give myself a deadline or anything like that. But, just to blog in general. By the way, it was a good, cute and funny movie; I didn't know it was based on a true story until the end. I meant, I knew about Julia Childs but not that Julie is real and that she really did set out to do her blogs and cook! Anyway; that's my main problem: rambling! Although it helps for when you're writing essays on certain topics! So... what is this blog going to be about? Nothing special. Maybe I should concentrate on a specific topic like Julie did. But, the only thing that I can do well is write and... crochet/cross-stitch? Hey... maybe I can post every time I complete a project... if I can ever do that!
