Life in Philly... and Updates

Okay; I see that the last time I posted anything was in July! So, this is a rundown of what has happened since then!

July

I want to say that everything was going fine after our trip to Memphis. Ashley and Ramil were reportedly doing fine... until I get a phone call from both of them asking us to come get them! Long story short, they got into it with Ash's parents... again, and volunteered to leave.

August

Because we saw that there was a possibility that they would be staying with us, again, Albert and I decided to look into getting our own home. We were actually trying to find out the steps we had to take in order to make it possible. Never imagined that it was as easy as getting a mortgage loan officer to do a credit check! It actually happened at the end of July but we gave the Realtors a money order for their services; found out that Albert is only 4 points away from qualifying for our first house! We were told what was needed to attempt to get those points and started on that quest!

September

Nothing much happened this month! We continued to pay the Realtors for their services as they started building on the town home complex that will eventually be ours! A three bedroom, three and a half bath town home with a basement. It's not the most glamorous thing but it's still exciting because, one; it is being built from scratch which means we will be the first ones in there, and two; it's our first home, period! Because of school and laziness, I have yet to finish on my second project let alone even look at it! Towards the end of this month, we found out that Ashley is pregnant. I took it the hardest because I knew for sure that I would have beaten her to it, seeing that we were on the verge of getting a home. So, now, the extra bedroom is going to be their baby's room. I was depressed about it for a couple of weeks but I'm slowly getting over it. Not that I'm not happy for her but because I am having a lot of difficulty having children, it was a very hard pill to swallow.

That leads up to this month. We are getting another credit check towards the end of this month to see what has happened to our credit; hopefully we will have the 4 points and then some so that we can go ahead and wrap this baby up!
I am having a bit of a problem with my mother worrying the hell out of me almost every waking moment, though! I know that it's her diabetes (even though Ashley says that it's not; I've learned that different people have different effects with diabetes, anyway) but it is driving me up the wall. The last straw came when we were in the car and my mom noticed one of my key chains: "Southern By the Grace of God". She told me to give it to her and I said no. She called me selfish, which I laughed off. But, then, she goes and says, "That's why you can't have children". I wanted to stop the car and tell everyone to get the fuck out and walk home! Are there any further words or feelings I have to describe after hearing something like that? Yeah; I didn't think so! I told Albert that she had one more time to say something like that and I was calling my grandma to see if she could take her in cuz she wasn't staying with us any longer!
So, now, we're in Philly; me, Albert and Kenny, a guy who is a part of their Yu-Gi-Oh team. The city, itself is AMAZING! I know that I've only seen the downtown part, where our hotel and the tournament is being held but it is very impressive! I actually considered wanting to move here! We're gonna be here until Sunday and then it'll be back to boring Maryland!
The hotel we're staying in is AWESOME! I have never felt sheets and pillows so soft before in my life! And, this is the first time that I have seen a shower so large in a hotel! The decor is unbelievable; there aren't enough words to describe it all! Tomorrow, while the guys are playing in the tournament, I will go sight-seeing; there is so much for me to do in one day!
So, that's about it. I don't know when I will start back on my second project but now that Ashley's pregnant, I have to start back on crocheting a baby blanket for her!
